UPS Raises 2026 Revenue Outlook to $92.6 Billion Despite Lower Quarterly Net Profit
The delivery company lifted its annual sales and adjusted earnings forecasts after revenue grew 6.7% in the third quarter, even as reported net income declined.
United Parcel Service raised its full-year revenue and adjusted earnings outlook on October 27, 2026, after stronger third-quarter sales and higher-value deliveries helped its restructuring programme gain traction.
The Atlanta-based company now expects approximately $92.6 billion in revenue for 2026, compared with its previous projection of $91.2 billion. It also increased its adjusted earnings-per-share forecast to about $7.28 from $7.22, while projecting adjusted operating profit of roughly $8.75 billion.
Revenue for the three months ended September rose 6.7% to $22.9 billion. Adjusted quarterly earnings were $1.69 per share, above analysts' expectations but below $1.74 in the comparable period last year. Reported net income fell to approximately $1.16 billion from $1.31 billion a year earlier.
UPS is shifting away from lower-margin deliveries, including shipments for Amazon, while investing in automation and simplifying its delivery network. Domestic package revenue rose 4.5%, while international package revenue increased 7.1%. The company has said it remains on course to achieve approximately $3 billion in cost savings during 2026.
The stronger revenue outlook does not mean that all profitability measures improved. The company's reported earnings declined, and investors will continue to assess whether a smaller, more profitable mix of shipments can support lasting margin gains through the holiday delivery season.
