SoFi Raises 2026 Revenue Forecast After 44% Quarterly Growth
The US financial technology company reported about $1.4 billion in third-quarter revenue, added 1.2 million members and set a higher full-year revenue target.
SoFi Technologies raised its full-year 2026 financial outlook on October 27 after reporting a 44% increase in third-quarter net revenue and continued growth in customers using its digital financial services.
The company reported approximately $1.39 billion in net revenue for the three months ended September 30, up from about $962 million a year earlier. Reported net income was approximately $241 million, compared with about $139 million in the comparable 2025 quarter. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization reached roughly $470 million, a non-GAAP measure that excludes specified costs.
SoFi now expects about $5.04 billion in adjusted net revenue for 2026, alongside approximately $1.66 billion in adjusted EBITDA and diluted earnings of $0.61 per share. It also introduced an outlook for 2027 calling for approximately $6.4 billion in adjusted revenue. Forecasts reflect management's current expectations and may change with credit demand, funding costs and market conditions.
The company said its membership increased 35% from a year earlier to 17.1 million, including 1.2 million net additions during the quarter. Total products held by customers increased 44% to 26.7 million. Its broad product range includes deposit accounts, personal and student loans, investing services and other financial products.
The expansion was accompanied by stronger lending activity. Loan originations totaled approximately $16.9 billion in the quarter, while fee-based revenue reached about $571 million. The company also reported that accounts enabled through its technology platform were lower than a year earlier, illustrating that growth was not uniform across all business lines.
SoFi's results show increased scale in consumer digital finance and stronger near-term profitability. They do not remove the risks associated with loan performance, competition or the company's ambitious projections for next year.
