Materialise Revenue Rises 2.1% as Medical 3D Printing Outpaces Other Units
The Belgian additive-manufacturing company reported €67.7 million in third-quarter revenue, but lower net profit as spending and segment performance weighed on earnings.
Belgian 3D-printing company Materialise reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of €67.67 million on October 28, an increase of 2.1% from €66.26 million a year earlier.
Revenue from its medical segment rose 9.7% to €36.54 million, making it the clearest source of growth among the company's three reported segments. Software revenue declined to €9.86 million from €10.29 million, while manufacturing revenue fell to €21.27 million from €22.68 million. The company said manufacturing sales grew after adjusting for recently divested businesses.
Net profit declined to €1.38 million from €1.85 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025. Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes fell to €2.49 million from €2.92 million, even as gross profit increased.
The company attributed part of its cost increase to higher research and development spending, especially on medical applications. It said it had maintained a positive net cash position and continued share repurchases.
Materialise reaffirmed its full-year revenue guidance of €273 million to €283 million and adjusted EBIT guidance of €12 million to €14 million. Those figures remain management projections, not realized annual results.
