Deutsche Bank Reports 1.9 Billion Euros in Third-Quarter Profit After Tax
Germany's largest lender reported higher revenue and stronger asset inflows, while its investment banking business lagged and management lifted its full-year revenue ambition.
Deutsche Bank reported profit after tax of €1.9 billion for the third quarter of 2026, alongside a 4% annual increase in net revenue to €8.3 billion, according to results released on Wednesday, October 28.
The Frankfurt-based lender said profit before tax rose 8% from a year earlier to €2.6 billion. Net profit attributable to shareholders, a narrower measure than total profit after tax, was approximately €1.59 billion, compared with €1.56 billion a year earlier. The latter figure exceeded market expectations cited in contemporary financial reporting.
The corporate and private banking operations helped offset softer performance in investment banking. Fixed-income and currency trading revenue declined after a strong comparison period, while the bank said its investment banking revenue was broadly stable against the previous year's record quarter on its own reporting basis.
Assets under management in the private bank and asset management businesses rose by €50 billion during the quarter to €2.0 trillion. The bank reported €47 billion in quarterly net inflows across those operations and a Common Equity Tier 1 capital ratio of 14.0%.
Management said nine-month revenue performance supports a full-year ambition above €33 billion. That is a company outlook, not a completed annual result.
