Delivery Hero Raises 2026 Guidance After One Billion Orders in Third Quarter
The Berlin-based delivery platform reported €13.9 billion in quarterly gross merchandise value and lifted its full-year outlook as an Uber takeover offer remains pending.
Delivery Hero raised its full-year 2026 forecasts on October 28 after reporting more than one billion customer orders in the third quarter for the first time.
The Berlin-based food and grocery delivery group said gross merchandise value, the total value of orders placed through its platforms, reached approximately €13.9 billion in the July-to-September period, up 13.6% on a like-for-like basis. Group revenue increased 22% on the same basis to approximately €4.3 billion.
The company now forecasts full-year like-for-like gross merchandise value growth of 10% to 12%, compared with its previous guidance of 9% to 11%. It also raised its revenue growth outlook to 18% to 20% and its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation target to €980 million to €1.02 billion. These are company forecasts rather than completed annual results.
Management cited increased repeat purchasing and expansion of quick-commerce services. Subscribers accounted for 51% of quarterly gross merchandise value, while quick commerce generated 19% of the group's total, according to the company.
The trading update comes as Uber pursues a voluntary takeover offer at €41.50 per share. Delivery Hero said the offer acceptance period runs until November 5. The companies remain independent pending completion, which is subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions.
